Getting Started
Client: ClassicUO (free Ultima Online client). Address:51.195.105.41 : 2593. Type any account name and password — it is created automatically on first login. You start in Luna.
Starter pack for a new character: 15,000 gold, a GoldLedger, a StatBall, a SkillBall (7 skills × 120), a BankBell, plus a welcome bag with a bank key, 2× Power Scroll 110, 50 bandages and potions. Plus a 7-piece Novice set waiting in your bank box (100% LRC = free spellcasting).
Mages: full spellbooks (with every spell) can be bought from the Scribe — no need to gather scrolls one by one.
How to install & connect (step by step)
No custom launcher — we use ClassicUO, the free open-source Ultima Online client.
Download the ClassicUO Launcher from classicuo.eu — unzip and run ClassicUOLauncher.exe. (ClassicUO is only the launcher — it does NOT include the UO game files; you add them in the next step.)
Download the UO game files — the free official UO Classic Client from uo.com/client-download. Install it and run it once so it fully updates (patches) — this downloads the complete data (~1 GB). Note the folder (no EA account needed).
In the Launcher create a profile and point „Ultima Online Directory" → the folder with your UO game files (required — the client will not start without it); Server IP:51.195.105.41; Port:2593. Leave client version and encryption on default.
Hit Play. At the login screen type any account name and password — your account is created automatically on first login.
You start in Luna. Type [Help in-game for the full command list. Have fun!

Mechanics at a glance: combat is AOS-style — five resistances (physical, fire, cold, poison, energy; each up to 70%) plus magic item properties (LRC, LMC, FC/FCR, SDI, DI, HCI/DCI…). Grow your character through skills and stats: the base skill cap is 100, and Power Scrolls raise it to 120; the high total-skill cap (7000) lets you build broad, multi-role characters. Stats reach 350, and Stat Cap Scrolls push them to 425.
100% LRC (e.g. the Novice set in your bank box) means casting without reagents. Improve gear via Rune Crafting (AOS properties) and Fire Crafting (fiery materials). Three races (Humans, Elves, Gargoyles) and six maps. No pay-to-win — skill and time are what matter.
PvP & Arena
Where you may fight players and how duels work.
Player-vs-player is only allowed on Felucca and in the Arena. All other maps (Trammel, Ilshenar, Malas, Tokuno, Ter Mur) are safe (PvE).
Felucca is the risk-and-reward zone — open PvP, but better loot; players who kill others rack up murder counts and turn red. Others can then claim a bounty ([Wanted) on a red — gold for their head. The Arena ([Duel) is for safe 1v1 duels: no item loss, a countdown and time limit, and afterwards you return where you came from.

PvE / PvM
Global events, bosses, invasions and drops.
PvM/PvE is the heart of the shard, and the world runs itself. Every hour / 12h / 24h / week a global event fires (horde → raid → invasion, scaling with player count), every 2-4h a World Boss awakens (talking, with a Herald warning — track it with [Boss), and the AI Game Master adds town invasions, treasure hunts and more. Every participant is rewarded — from gold and Ancient Tokens to Power Scrolls 120 and runic tools.
Most of the world (Trammel, Ilshenar, Malas, Tokuno, Ter Mur) is safe — no PvP. Monster loot scales with a beast's fame, and it is boosted in Malas and Ilshenar. Play solo or grouped — at bosses and invasions teamwork really pays off.

Pets (Tamers)
Taming, bonding, pet trading and the arena.
Tame a beast (Animal Taming) and make it a loyal companion. After 3 days of care your pet bonds — then it can be resurrected after death and won't flee. (Shortened from a week.)
Pet trading — [shrink: turn your tamed pet into a figurine (that looks like it) you can sell or hand to another player. The recipient double-clicks to release it and take ownership — the proper Animal Taming is required. World Bosses and very powerful beasts cannot be shrunk.
Pet arena — [PetDuel: target a player to challenge their pet ([PetAccept to accept). The fight runs in the arena and is safe (bonded pets only, healed instead of killed); the winner earns a gold reward.
PvP Auto-tournaments
Sign-ups open automatically every ~90 minutes (the Herald announces them server-wide) — the Game Master also triggers them when it judges the timing is right. Type [Tournament to join — you land in the stands. Once sign-ups close, a random 1v1 bracket begins: the loser is out (auto-resurrect + return with full gear), the winner advances, until two finalists clash in the FINAL.
During every fight an AI announcer commentates live for the crowd. The Arena Champion takes 5,000 Ancient Tokens. No item loss; recall and escaping the ring are blocked.
Game Master — AI Director
An AI that runs the live world of the shard.
The Game Master is an AI model that, roughly every 18 minutes, reads the live server state — how many players are online, the time of day, whether a World Boss is alive, whether a tournament, global event or siege is running, the season — and picks one happening to keep the world lively, varied and fair.
It chooses from: a tournament, a World Boss, a global quest/raid, a city siege, a town invasion (3 waves), the Mysterious Wanderer, the Black Market, a treasure rumor, a world chronicle, or nothing (when few players are on or an event is already running). It announces each call as the “Game Master”.
The same AI brain also powers the everyday world: townsfolk chat and gossip about real player deeds (who felled a boss, who tops the ranking), and monsters speak — demons threaten, beasts hiss and growl. Treasures are hidden with an AI-written riddle instead of plain coordinates.
Safe by design: the model never runs raw server commands — it only returns an action name from a closed list, which validated, guarded code then executes. A hallucination or an attempt to trick an NPC cannot do any harm.
Chronicles of Britannia — Living Story
An ongoing, evolving world story driven by AI.
Last Guardian is more than a pile of features — it is a living world with an ongoing story. Every few days the AI writes a new chapter of the Chronicles of Britannia: a rising threat, a mystery, a faction's move, an omen. This is not static lore — the plot keeps evolving.
The chapter lives in the world: NPCs gossip about it, the Herald proclaims it, and the AI Game Master themes its events around the current plot. Type [Story in-game to read the current chapter.

Dynamic happenings
Surprises the Game Master scatters across the world.
Mysterious Wanderer
Appears next to a random player (no more than once every ~4h), speaks a cryptic AI line, and hands 50–200 Ancient Tokens to the first to double-click him before vanishing. Untouchable.
Black Market
A smuggler with a rotating stock of rare goods for tokens shows up briefly. Beware — there is a 22% chance of an ambush, so trading can be risky.
Treasure Rumors
The Herald drops a clue about a treasure hidden somewhere near a town. The first to find the chest takes the reward — the rest go home empty-handed.
Adaptive Siege
A raid on a town whose difficulty adapts to the defenders: crush the waves without losses → escalation (tougher raid, the warlord mocks you); die or stall → relief. Up to 12 waves, ending with the Raid Warlord (Balron/Daemon/Dragon). The reward scales with the peak difficulty reached.
AI NPCs
NPCs are powered by a local Bielik-11B v2.6 model on our own GPU (Tesla V100 32 GB) — nothing leaves to third parties. The model is heavily tuned for Ultima Online: it knows Britannia, its cities, dungeons, the Virtues and our shard systems (World Bosses, the Fire Dragon, events, tokens). It replies in the player's language (PL/EN) and never breaks character.
Talk to NPCs
NPCs greet you on sight when you approach, and chat more often. Call an NPC by name and talk — they remember you, know the world, and merchants know their stock. The model stays loaded in GPU memory, so replies come almost instantly.
NPC ↔ NPC + Herald
NPCs chat with each other, and the Herald ([Herald) announces news: ranking leader, events, season.
[Bounty / [Guide
AI writes unique hunting bounties ([Bounty), and [Guide is an AI guide answering questions about the server.
NPCs know your fame
Townsfolk react to your deeds: they fear a murderer (red), admire the ranking leader, and respect a renowned hero.
Talking bosses
World Bosses and the Fire Dragon shout menacing AI taunts during the fight, straight at the heroes who dare face them.
Game Master
The same model also runs the whole world as the Game Master — deciding when to launch a tournament, boss, siege or quest (see the section above).
Two currencies: gold and Ancient Tokens. Full Token Vendor price list below.
The economy runs on two currencies: gold (everyday trade, NPC vendors, deeds) and Ancient Tokens (premium — traded at the Token Vendor for Power Scrolls, runic tools, fiery materials and cosmetics). No pay-to-win — everything is earned by playing.
Where gold and tokens come from: monster loot (token chance scales with a beast's fame; loot is boosted in Malas and Ilshenar), global events and invasions, World Bosses, treasure hunts, bounties ([Wanted), plus daily login and voting rewards. What to spend it on: the Token Vendor, NPC vendors (e.g. full spellbooks at the Scribe), rune/fire crafting and player-to-player trade.
Player-to-player trade thrives — from gear and materials to pets packed into a figurine ([shrink). Keep gold in the bank (the starter Bank Bell gives access anywhere), and the GoldLedger carries it weightlessly.

You earn tokens from monsters (chance scales with Fame), events, quests, voting and the casino. The Gold Ledger auto-collects gold and tokens nearby and from corpses — and you can spend straight from it at the Token Vendor.
A Stat Cap Scroll raises your StatCap by +5/+10/+20/+25, up to a hard cap of 425 — for the most dedicated. Durability Powder sets a weapon/armor durability to a maximum 255/255 (one jar = 5 uses). An Item Renaming Deed lets you give a custom name to a weapon, armor, clothing or jewelry.

Runes are a quick way to add a specific property to finished gear — but risky: a failed attempt destroys the item permanently. The higher your Inscription, the better the success chance. Tip: test on cheap/spare gear before runing your best. Buy ready runes and supplies from the Rune Crafter NPC, or carve them yourself from Rough Stone (Rune Chisel + Inscription/Magery).
Systems & Quality of Life
Global Chat
The [c message command sends a message to a global chat seen by everyone online.
Skill training
A Training Elemental that does not fight back and never dies — safely raise your combat skills on it.
Gold Ledger
Auto-collects gold and Ancient Tokens from the ground and from corpses; stores them and lets you pay without carrying cash.
Universal Bless
A Universal Bless Deed blesses any item (it stays on death). Buy it for tokens.
Hues
A Custom Hue Dye Tub and Mount Hue Deed let you give your gear and mount a custom color.
World Map
A locator item: double-click → enter coordinates → a map with a pin showing the point.
UO Studio is a custom visual ServUO shard editor we use to build Last Guardian. It lets you design items and creatures with AOS properties, build the world (isometric builder), write and edit scripts, configure and launch the server, and deploy changes over SFTP. It reads the UO client art, so you see the real icons and hues.
The program is open source and free on GitHub — download it, use it for your own shard and contribute.
